Work with a team to identify tax savings opportunities for clients.
Gain understanding of how clients compute each component of property tax.
Research issues, reconcile databases, and complete detailed calculations.
Assist the team with the verification process from the taxing authority.
Create positive team member experiences, leading to excellent client service and driving revenue and profit for the Firm.
Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
Attend client meetings and property inspections.
Review client property tax records and apply software knowledge to efficiently work with client data.
Prepare and review property reports and renditions.
Analyze assessment notices and determine potential assessment reductions.
File appeals and determine liability for development projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Business Computer Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Public Administration, Real Estate or other degree with Master’s in Business Discipline.
  • Relevant work experience preferred (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) or Bachelor's degree and one to three years audit or tax related experience.
  • The following accreditations and/or diploma are considered beneficial: AACI, AIMA, CRA, MIMA and RPA.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
