Accounting Assistant for City

This position requires considerable accounting experience alongside post-secondary courses. You will prepare financial statements and statistical reports, analyzing budget variances in a supportive team environment at Metro Hall. A strong background in SAP and financial systems is essential for this role, focusing on accurate account reconciliations and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and departmental project reports

• Analyze and reconcile budget variance reports

• Maintain accounts receivable functions and bank reconciliations

• Prepare periodic financial statements for management

• Assist with special projects and banking processes

Requirements:

• Completion of post-secondary accounting courses

• Strong experience using SAP financial systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage time effectively under deadlines
