King Sett Capital is seeking a Manager of Finance, Development, to join our Toronto team. In this role, you will oversee all project accounting functions across condominium, townhome, and single-family developments. You will be responsible for the full financial lifecycle of development projects, from acquisition through construction, occupancy, and final close.

Role ResponsibilitiesMaintain and review job cost reports, budgets, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
Analyze budget vs. actual variances and provide actionable insights to project teams.
Ensure accurate allocation of costs to project and phases.
Manage interim occupancy and final closing accounting for condo projects.
Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with applicable standards.
Manage project cash flow forecasting and reporting.
Coordinate and prepare construction draw packages for lenders.
Track loan balances, interest, and covenant requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for projects.
Support audits, maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
Improve processes, drive efficiencies and standardization across multiple projects.
Partner with development, construction and asset management team.
Work closely with external stakeholders (lenders, auditors, consultants).
Responsible for annual budget process for the projects.
Review or prepare statement of adjustment and post-closing adjustment for acquisition / disposition.
Co-ordinate the integration of new projects into the workflow and reporting structure.
Handle treasury functions for the portfolio i.e. renewal of BA, borrowing requirements.
Participate in accounting system upgrades.
Participate in special projects, as they arise.
Candidate ProfileMinimum 5+ years of accounting experience with direct real estate development exposure.
Experience in condominium and low-rise residential development accounting, including full project lifecycle management.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Active CPA designation or CPA designation in progress required.
Strong understanding of real estate development finance processes, including construction draw administration, lender reporting, and revenue recognition.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Strong analytical thinking, project management, and process improvement capabilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels, internally and externally.
CompensationBase salary range of $110,000-$130,000.
Total compensation includes salary, variable discretionary bonus, benefits, & other perks.
