Position: Financial Accountant Role at Verve Senior Living
Pursue your accounting career at Verve Senior Living as a Financial Accountant focused on long-term care finances. This position requires detail orientation and proficiency in financial reporting.

As part of the finance team under the Controller, you will manage accounting functions for one long-term care residence along with multiple retirement residences. This includes preparing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and adhering to GAAP compliance. Ideal candidates will have a university degree in accounting and be on the path to CPA certification with two to three years of related experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full monthly accounting cycle activities

• Prepare financial statements and working papers

• Ensure timely payroll remittances and compliance

• Track capital expenditures against budgets

• Liaise with management for financial inquiries

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting; CPA pursuit is necessary

• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience

• Advanced Excel skills and a solid grasp of accounting software

• Strong communication skills in English

• Knowledge of retirement living regulations is preferred
