Property Accountant at MetCap Living

Met Cap Living Management Inc. is seeking a Property Accountant for its Downtown Toronto office. This critical position involves overseeing the accounting cycle for a portfolio of residential properties.

As a Property Accountant, you will prepare financial statements, coordinate budgets, and reconcile bank statements. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a relevant background in property management accounting. Ideal candidates have a CPA designation or are working towards it with 2-3 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounting cycle for multi-residential properties

• Prepare monthly management reports and budget analyses

• Execute bank reconciliations and control account assessments

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Prepare documentation for annual audits and liaise with auditors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred

• 2-3 years of related accounting experience

• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Yardi Voyageur is a plus

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Detail-oriented and self-starter
