Position: Accountant Role for Construction Projects
Eastern Construction seeks a General Accountant to support financial operations across diverse projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Bring your accounting skills to maintain accuracy in financial records and processes.

In this vital accounting role, you will oversee journal entries, manage accounts receivable, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like HST and income taxes. You will also perform daily cash management and assist in payroll processing and audits as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and review routine journal entries

• Oversee Accounts Receivable for effective cash flow

• Handle HST payments and T5018 form submissions

• Manage cash flow statements and bank reconciliations

• Support compliance with project requirements and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry is valuable

• Relevant Accounting or Finance degree/diploma

• Proficiency in accounting software like Viewpoint

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a solutions-driven approach
