Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting at Tricon

Tricon is seeking a Senior Accountant for Financial Reporting in Toronto, ON. This position focuses on reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and process improvement with AI tools.
As a Senior Accountant at Tricon, you'll collaborate with U.S. and Canadian teams to support corporate reporting initiatives.

Your role will include preparing monthly journal entries, conducting in-depth account reconciliations, and utilizing data analytics to streamline workflows. You'll also provide guidance to junior team members to foster development and a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end closing and variance analysis

• Prepare and assist in reviewing financial statements

• Refine documentation for month-end procedures

• Foster an environment of knowledge sharing with junior accountants

• Contribute to innovative reporting projects
Requirements:

• CPA designation or working towards it

• At least three years of relevant accounting experience

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in residential real estate preferred
