Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Accounting

Contribute to Northland Power's financial integrity as a Senior Financial Analyst specializing in Reporting and Technical Accounting in Toronto. Focus on accurate, timely reports and analyses.

Your role involves active participation in financial reporting, preparing IFRS-compliant statements and detailed MD&A. Working under the Manager of External Financial Reporting, you’ll handle complex accounting questions and lead internal audits. Be a valued mentor to the wider finance team, ensuring quality assurance in group reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements

• Ensure completeness of MD&A submissions each quarter

• Develop reports explaining financial variances to leadership

• Lead research on technical accounting standards

• Collect and benchmark financial information for reporting
Requirements:

• CPA or similar accounting credential

• 3+ years with a recognized audit or advisory firm

• Comprehensive IFRS understanding; US GAAP knowledge a bonus

• Skilled in Microsoft Office tools and applications

• Prior experience with financial consolidation software preferred
