AP Clerk

Our client is seeking a skilled professional with AP Clerk to play a key role in their Accounting team.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, vendors are paid on time,
and financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately enter vendor invoices into the Quickbooks online.

• Prepare and process EFT and cheque payment runs for suppliers in accordance with
established payment schedules.

• Create various miscellaneous billing invoices and credits that are issued to vendors

• Reconcile vendor statements, credit cards, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues
to maintain accurate accounts payable records.

• Assist with year-end audit procedures and deliverables, working closely with the external
audit team.

• Maintain vendor records in QBO, including payment and banking information, while
ensuring that proper company policies and internal controls are followed.

• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, account balances
and related accounts payable matters.

• Support month-end closing activities by verifying that all AP transactions are properly
posted in QBO prior to closing deadlines.

• Utilize QBO and Excel to manage accounts payable processes, data analysis, and reporting.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to streamline processes, resolve issues, and ensure efficient and accurate accounts
payable operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in AP an role

• Post secondary education in Accounting

• Proficiency with Quick Books Online is a requirement
