Intermediate Property Accountant Job Toronto area,Ontario Canada,Accounting

You as an Intermediate Accountant, Property Accounting will:

Month-end/Recurring journal entries

Preparation of monthly reporting packages (including financial statements)

Preparation of quarterly reporting packages (including financial statements, work papers and supporting schedules)

Intepany charge backs

Tenant account reconciliations

Preparation of annual budget

Preparation of annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease review

Preparation of annual year-end audit working papers and liaison with auditors during field work period

Preparation of tenant/vendor chargebacks as needed

Liaise with Property Managers and Asset Managers regarding related accounting matters

Cash flow management and cash calls when required, updating rent rolls and collection management

Other duties as assigned

Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise financial reports.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyzeplex financial data and resolve discrepancies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Property Managers and Asset Managers.

Education:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.

Preference will be given to individuals with a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.pleted or in progress.

Experience:

1+ years of hands-on experience in property accounting, preferably withinmercial or retail real estate.

OR 2+ years of CA firm-based experience within Audit

Strong familiarity with property management/accounting software; MRI preferred is a strong asset.
