Accounting Manager

About Our Client

Our client is hiring an Accounting Manager for a six-month contract.

• Lead the 5-business day month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor profitability by business unit, service line, or project.
• Oversee job costing, labour costing, and overhead allocations.
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures.
• Manage sales tax filings and related regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and year-end financial requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

• 6+ years of accounting experience – month end, financial statement prep, full cycle
• Construction industry experience – WIP, percentage of completion, revenue recognition, lease accounting, cut-off procedures
• CPA is strongly preferred but not required
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting is an asset but not required
• Exposure to US GAAP is an asset but not required

You must currently reside within the Scarborough area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
