Position: Lead Controller for GTA Construction Firm
Join a growing construction company in the Greater Toronto Area as a Controller, overseeing financial reporting and job costing. This hybrid role emphasizes timely financial insights and compliance.

We're on the lookout for a Controller to guide financial operations and enhance project financial management. You will play a critical role in month-end and year-end closings while managing job costing and cash flow. Collaborating with project teams, you'll ensure strong internal controls and mentoring within the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all month-end and year-end closing activities

• Manage job costing, WIP, and project margins

• Supervise AP/AR, cash flow forecasting, and collections

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial standards

• Collaborate with project managers on budgets and forecasting

Requirements:

• CPA preferred with 7+ years of relevant experience

• Experience in construction/project accounting is essential

• Deep understanding of cost codes and holdbacks

• Advanced Excel skills are necessary

• Experience with construction accounting systems is beneficial
