Lead Forensic Accountant at OSC

Join the Ontario Securities Commission as a Senior Forensic Accountant focused on tackling financial misconduct through detailed investigations. This contract position is integral in protecting investors in Ontario.

As part of the Enforcement Division, the Senior Forensic Accountant will investigate and litigate breaches of the Securities Act, targeting fraudulent behavior that impacts retail investors. You will engage in collaborative investigative efforts, analyze complex financial data, and contribute to significant regulatory actions against offenders. Your work will help to mitigate risks within Ontario’s capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough financial investigations and define strategies

• Collaborate with diverse teams on investigative processes

• Analyze banking and corporate records for evidence

• Prepare forensic analyses and summaries for cases

• Draft essential legal documents for enforcement actions

Requirements:

• CPA license and relevant degree in accounting

• Minimum 8 years forensic accounting experience

• Strong strategic thinking and management capabilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity with securities law and fraud investigation practices
