Exciting opportunity as an Accounting Analyst on a 4-month contract at Scotiabank in Toronto. This role focuses on financial reporting and reconciling accounts within a team-oriented environment.
As an Accounting Analyst, you will contribute significantly to Global Payment Operations by ensuring accurate payment processing and compliance with internal policies. You'll engage in daily reconciliations, assist partners with inquiries, and maintain operational excellence in a high-performing culture. This contract role emphasizes teamwork and a strong customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare journal entries in People Soft systems
• Process NB250A transactions and related entries
• Conduct daily reconciliations of control accounts
• Support partners with invoices and payment-related inquiries
• Ensure compliance with risk management policies
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding of accounting principles and reporting
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable
• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
