Bank reconciliations and accounts payable are central to this Junior Accountant opportunity for candidates in the Greater Toronto Area.
Vaco/Highspring’s client seeks a Junior Accountant with one to two or more years of full-cycle accounting experience. The work includes cash records, deposits, multiple entities, project accounting, and financial reporting. Candidates should bring Excel proficiency and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare deposits and maintain cash records across multiple entities
- Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies monthly
- Process accounts payable transactions across multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries supporting accurate financial reporting
- Maintain accurate intercompany account reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
- One to two or more years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience with bank reconciliations and accounts payable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Current Greater Toronto Area residence and Canadian work authorization
