Walmart Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing comprehensive administrative support to various departments. Key Objectives- Provide efficient administrative support to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Manage communications, scheduling, and document coordination to support business functions.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage calendars, appointments, and meetings for team members.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and physical, to ensure easy access to information.
- Assist with travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Support project coordination and follow-up on action items to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate smooth communication and workflow.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in administration or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with office equipment and basic troubleshooting.
