Position: Board Administrator for Economic Planning Board

About the Program

The Economic Planning Board (EPB) includes monitoring current and anticipated future economic climates and providing the Jamat with relevant and timely programmatic support in the areas of employment, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business.

The Board Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of board activities. This includes managing board documentation, coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and supporting communication between members and other stakeholders. The role requires someone who is organized, discreet, responsive, and able to handle multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism.

About the Role

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, and supporting materials in advance.
  • Record accurate and timely minutes during meetings and circulate them for approval.
  • Maintain organized records of board materials, decisions, and action items.
  • Track outstanding tasks and follow up with members or relevant leads as needed.
  • Support onboarding of new board members, including access to key documents and orientation materials.
  • Assist the Chair and Honorary Secretary with logistical and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.

    Skills and Competencies
    :
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in administrative or governance support roles is preferred.
  • Proficient with digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience working with volunteer boards or nonprofit governance is an asset.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with limited oversight.
