About the OpportunityMeridian One Cap Credit Corp is an equipment and finance company providing a broad range of financial services to businesses throughout Canada. The company is a subsidiary of Meridian Credit Union, the largest credit union in Ontario. The Operations Administrative Support Intern will support the Compliance team’s day‑to‑day activities and gain hands‑on experience in automation and process improvement.
Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Compliance team.
- Maintain and organize compliance records in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Assist with documentation review, compliance and automation efforts, and insurance coverage assessments.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including gathering business requirements, analyzing internal processes, and facilitating small project implementations.
- Participate in projects to improve business processes across the organization.
- Collaborate with industry experts to drive operational controls and quality assurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; university student or recent graduate in business, finance, or a related field.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of process‑improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and change management.
- Proficient in technology tools (Microsoft Office, Power Platform); familiarity with no‑code or low‑code solutions and AI productivity tools is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build relationships in a hybrid environment.
- Bilingual French is an asset.
- Detail oriented, organized, curious, and flexible.
