Position: North York General Hospital Unit Secretary
Serve as an essential Unit Secretary in the Ambulatory Care division at North York General Hospital. Engage in vital administrative tasks that ensure the efficient running of an outpatient clinic.

In this part-time position, you will take charge of administrative functions that directly impact patient care.

Your role will involve scheduling appointments, managing telephone inquiries, and assisting staff and patients with inquiries, all while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Leverage your medical office knowledge to execute tasks with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and manage incoming calls and inquiries

• Register patients and coordinate appointments

• Organize patient-related information and documentation

• Ensure timely transcription of physician orders

• Compile reports and discharge instructions for follow-up care

Requirements:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

• Certification as a Medical Secretary/Office Assistant

• One year of comparable office experience

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Proficiency in computer software and typing skills
