Support Christmas Kettle operations for The Salvation Army through volunteer coordination, scheduling, and local donation logistics. This temporary position requires flexible scheduling.
As a Christmas Kettle Campaign Assistant, you will help coordinate staff and volunteers across kettle sites. Your work includes orientation, scheduling, emergency absence coverage, supply coordination, and secure donation handling. You will also support daily campaign operations through office administration and communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote and coordinate Christmas Kettle staff and volunteer activities
- Schedule workers and respond to emergency absences
- Coordinate daily kettle delivery and pickup from sites
- Host kettles and provide break coverage as required
- Transfer kettle contents into deposit bags securely
- Completed high school or equivalent education
- One year of community-based program experience is an asset
- Experience in office administration and office equipment
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Valid Ontario Class G licence and driver abstract
