Automotive Parts Advisor - Elevate Your Career at Downtown Ford!

Downtown Ford, part of Downtown Auto Group (DAG), is engineering trust and reliability in the automotive service experience. We seek a dynamic team member to join our parts and service departments, collaborating with service advisors and technicians to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across eight dealerships serving eleven brands.

This is an in-person role located in Toronto.

• Customer Service & Sales: Greet and assist walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and online requests with professionalism and enthusiasm. Accurately identify and recommend appropriate automotive parts and accessories based on customer needs. Provide expert advice on product compatibility, pricing, and availability. Educate guests on any additional parts required to complete repairs to manage guest expectations and elevate the guest experience.
• Inventory Management: Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date parts inventory system. Conduct regular stock checks, place orders, and ensure timely restocking of high-demand items. Coordinate with suppliers to address backorders, returns, and warranty claims.

  Partner with automotive technicians to identify the precise parts needed for repairs and maintenance tasks. Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies, parts updates, and recalls.
• Administrative Duties: Process customer transactions, quotes, and invoices with accuracy. Manage core returns and warranty claims according to company policies. Keep records of parts sales and inventory movements to support reporting and analysis.
• Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of automotive products and systems. Stay current with industry trends, product developments, and manufacturer updates.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts, with prior experience in a parts or service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with no demerit points.

• Experience with Ford or aftermarket parts departments.
• Familiarity with Reynolds & Reynolds.

Compensation
The expected compensation range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
