Automotive Parts Advisor – Elevate Your Career at Downtown Ford. We are a part of Downtown Auto Group (DAG). We focus on delivering exceptional automotive parts and service, working with a team across 8 dealerships serving 11 brands in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Customer Service & Sales:
Greet and assist walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and online requests with professionalism and enthusiasm. Accurately identify and recommend appropriate automotive parts and accessories based on customer needs. Provide expert advice on product compatibility, pricing, and availability. Educate guests on any additional parts required to complete repairs to manage guest expectations and elevate the guest experience. - Inventory Management:
Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date parts inventory system. Conduct regular stock checks, place orders, and ensure timely restocking of high-demand items. Coordinate with suppliers to address backorders, returns, and warranty claims. - Technical
Collaboration:
Partner with automotive technicians to identify the precise parts needed for repairs and maintenance tasks. Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies, parts updates, and recalls. - Administrative Duties:
Process customer transactions, quotes, and invoices with accuracy. Manage core returns and warranty claims according to company policies. Keep records of parts sales and inventory movements to support reporting and analysis. - Continuous Learning:
Attend training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of automotive products and systems. Stay current with industry trends, product developments, and manufacturer updates.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts, with prior experience in a parts or service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with no demerit points.
- Experience with Ford or aftermarket parts departments.
- Familiarity with Reynolds & Reynolds.

The expected compensation range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
