CSN Brimell/Formula, a high-volume collision centre and proud division of a 10-dealership automotive group, is currently seeking a skilled Body Prep Technician (Prepper) to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do- As a Body Prep Technician, you will play a key role in preparing vehicles for refinishing to manufacturer and dealership standards in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting and assessing vehicle damage and collaborating with Paint and Collision Appraisers to ensure accurate repair estimates
- Communicating any delays to dispatch to ensure timely customer updates
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all vehicles in your care
- Documenting work performed clearly and accurately on repair orders
- Performing factory warranty repairs in accordance with OEM and dealership standards
- Reviewing completed work and reporting any quality concerns to management or the Shop Foreman
- Washing and preparing vehicles prior to the prep process
- Picking up required supplies and ensuring materials are properly allocated to work orders
- Applying primers, rust-resistant coatings, seam sealers, and undercoats
- Feather edging, water sanding, and blending repaired areas to OEM standards
- Masking and unmasking vehicles in preparation for paint and finishing
- Removing dust and contaminants prior to refinishing
- Buffing and polishing completed paintwork when required
- Supporting additional duties as assigned by management
- 2+ years of experience as an Auto Body Prep Technician in a collision repair environment
- I-CAR certification and Ozone Depletion Prevention Card (ODPC) considered strong assets
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, crouching, and reaching
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Paid ongoing I-CAR, OEM, and industry certification training
