You know how to build an inventory that reflects the quality and diversity our guests expect, and you have a proven ability to lead a team toward meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, train, and motivate the pre‑owned vehicle sales team.
    • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
    • Ensure adherence to dealership sales processes and policies.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
    • Monitor local market trends and competitor activity.
    • Set monthly and annual sales targets and work with the team to achieve them.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage pre‑owned vehicle inventory: purchasing, appraising, pricing.
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels through trade‑ins, auctions, and wholesale.
    • Monitor turnover rate and price competitively.
    • Maintain an attractive display on the lot and online platforms.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
    • Handle escalated concerns professionally and timely.
    • Follow up with customers post‑sale to foster repeat business.
    • Develop relationships with local business partners and customers.
  • Financial Management:
    • Control costs, manage pricing strategies, and maximize gross profit.
    • Analyze sales performance and financial data for improvement.
    • Collaborate with finance to offer competitive financing and insurance.
    • Prepare budgets and forecasts with the General Manager.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to senior management.
    • Enforce dealership policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with service, parts, and finance for smooth operations.
    • Coordinate with marketing to promote inventory in various channels.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, automotive management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3‑5 years automotive sales, with at least 2 years in a management role, preferably in pre‑owned or used vehicle sales.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a sales team.

    Skills:

    Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to build rapport.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to an exceptional customer experience.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of gross profit, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
  • Technology: Proficiency with dealership management software (e.g., Dealer Track, CDK Global) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of automotive laws in Ontario, including OMVIC standards.
  • Licenses: Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record; OMVIC certification required.
  • Working Conditions: May require extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Primarily office-based with time on the lot.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Infiniti or other luxury brands.
  • Familiarity with certified pre‑owned program standards and processes.
  • Experience implementing innovative digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and digital marketing tools.
  • Multilingual, especially Mandarin or Cantonese.
