Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a prominent law firm in Toronto to recruit an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Managing Partner and COO, this position will be responsible for implementation of all of the client’s marketing/business development strategies. Additionally, this role will provide marketing/business development support to all lawyers and take direction from the Managing Partner and COO for ongoing development, coordination and production of marketing materials, maintain firm website and social media sites and assist with all marketing and business development initiatives.
YourResponsibilities:
- Implement and maintain firm’s website and social media strategy, including managing posts and changes to website, company Linked In page and other social media sites.
- Generate and maintain categorized lists from Outlook Contacts as required.
- Assist with development, editing and management of lawyer biographies, firm brochures, fact-sheets, articles, newsletters and other materials.
- Review and proof layouts prepared by lawyers for marketing and business development materials and assist with formatting.
- Assist with and coordinate conference/seminar materials (including PowerPoint presentations) for external conferences, seminars and Law Moot.
- Manage Marketing budget and yearly Marketing budgeting process.
- Assist with ongoing collection of information for use in proposals, fact sheets and other marketing materials.
- Assist with preparation, following firm templates and formats, arrange follow-ups, meetings and timely delivery of proposals.
- Assist with advertisements in legal and other industry publications, and submissions to legal directories.
- Assist with development and roll-out of marketing and business development initiatives, including list builds, online research, collateral development.
- Stay current with what is trending in business development and marketing for law firms.
- Main contact with third party service providers, including conference producers, graphic designers, web master, printers, photographer, legal and industry publications and legal directory staff.
- Post-secondary education in marketing or communications preferred.
- Experience in legal/professional services marketing and business development preferred.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with social media marketing.
- Fully proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Exercises discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential matters.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, oral and written communication skills, proof-reading and attention to detail.
- Effectively multi-tasks and juggles competing priorities.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
