Job Description Responsibilities – Customer
  • Act as liaison with business executives and partner with them to optimize sourcing strategies to achieve TD and business objectives.
  • Support business partners within category specialty by contributing to governance and management programs.
  • Manage category and strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives that meet business partner needs, mitigate risks, and improve outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on sourcing/outsourcing best practices where applicable.
  • Present research findings and make recommendations to management to support category and partner strategies.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to maximize total cost of ownership for a given category and collaborate with business partners.
Responsibilities – Shareholder
  • Adhere to enterprise sourcing frameworks, programs, and policies relevant to the business area.
  • Ensure sourcing programs and practices meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with business priorities.
  • Exercise discretion in handling correspondence, confidential information, and escalating issues where required.
  • Confirm compliance with applicable financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and asset physical controls.
  • Act as subject‑matter expert in cross‑functional initiatives to identify risks and provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects and deliver presentations to management or broader audiences.
  • Perform functional or enterprise‑level analysis to inform recommendations and assess program effectiveness.
  • Monitor service and productivity, assess efficiency, and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or facilitate remediation plans to address performance, risk, and governance issues.
  • Manage relationships across a range of business lines, corporate, or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Stay abreast of emerging issues, trends, and regulatory changes and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control through effective processes aligned with risk appetite.

  • Represent the business area and the bank positively both internally and externally.
Accountabilities – Breadth & Depth
  • Senior professional with deep sourcing and procurement knowledge, or broader related expertise.
  • Integrate enterprise strategy into solutions across multiple functions or operations.
  • Interpret business challenges and industry context, provide best‑practice recommendations, and improve products, processes, or services.
  • Serve as a technical expert, lead cross‑functional teams or projects with significant resources, risk, and complexity.
  • Manage end‑to‑end functional programs independently.
  • Apply analytical thinking to exercise judgment, identify solutions, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Operate autonomously as a leader while guiding others within the area of expertise.
  • Report to a Senior Manager or higher.
Experience & Education
  • Post‑secondary education required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
