About the Team

The Door Dash Dasher Logistics team is focused on driving cost and efficiency savings and quality improvements, business-wide (across Restaurant, New Verticals, Drive etc.), to empower operational leverage and growth. Together, we're building the world's most efficient and reliable same-day logistics platform to fulfill our vision of empowering all local businesses.

About the Role

They are also responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to hit goals and solve ambiguous business problems.

This role will specifically be focused on minimizing defects across the Door Dash platform, by improving our Support procedures to drive growth and retention, as well as improving our detection and elimination of Fraud. Some examples of projects include:

In a typical day, you may complete a variety of tasks such as devising and executing experiments to drive growth, diving into data using analytical modeling and SQL skills to explain performance at the lowest level of detail, and building reports and tools that allow teams to scale their work 10x. You will work on cross-functional initiatives coordinating across product, engineering, data science, finance, and more to bring projects from 0-1 and 1-100.

You are a generalist that is willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make the business successful. You will report to a Manager on our Dasher Logistics team in the Strategy & Operations organization.

We operate in a hybrid model, and our office is located in downtown Toronto, with the opportunity to travel abroad.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Analyze. You'll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions and iterate based on data. You'll build models, frameworks, processes, and much more.
  • Strategize. From first principles, you'll develop the optimal strategy for achieving efficiency in operations. You'll sign up for ambitious goals to improve the quality of deliveries.
  • Build. You'll have your fingerprints on all Door Dash operations. You'll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new.
