As the Senior Credit Analyst - Commercial, you will perform different forms of credit-based analysis on business/ commercial accounts, with an emphasis on financial statement analysis on commercial merchants generating large credit exposure. To be successful in the role, you will be well-versed in commercial credit adjudication, credit assessments, and financial statement analysis.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Posting Type: Replacement Position.
Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $71,408 - $99,971.
Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Adjudicate existing or net new merchants and approve or decline applications within assigned levels of authority.
Participate in the ongoing credit risk assessment of a portfolio of Commercial Merchants (large revenue/market share managed accounts), including periodic reviews and recommendations for the increase or decrease of collateral.
Manage individual portfolio – periodic review, collateral updates, contract reviews, compliance reporting, etc.
Conduct negotiation with Commercial Merchant senior executives (CEO, CFO, VP’s, Directors) relating to credit decisions.
Perform business analysis in the form of financial statement analysis, review of accounting policy affecting the financials, industry analysis, and financial modeling.
Provide ongoing education and support to Sales, Operations, and Marketing concerning Credit Policies and Procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
Pursuing a post-graduate degree or professional certifications like MBA, CFA, or CPA (a PLUS).
Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders and management.
3+ years of experience in credit adjudication, including business/commercial adjudication.
Experience analyzing business financial statement is required for the role.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, as well as negotiation skills.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel (Intermediate to advanced).
