The Senior Analyst, Compliance Operations plays a critical role in managing OMERS’ policy program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization’s commitment to best practices and transparent governance.

Responsibilities
  • Support management and administration of the existing policy program, ensuring timely reviews and stakeholder engagement to deliver policy documents that are fit for purpose.
  • Convey subject‑matter expertise to promote best practices and consistency with OMERS policy framework, and attend to inquiries related to policy matters.
  • Manage and monitor version control, track changes during policy reviews, and ensure stakeholders are informed of updates to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Maintain and update policy documents to ensure accuracy and relevance, coordinating amendments with subject‑matter experts and ensuring timely publication on internal and external websites.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to reach strategic objectives; serve as liaison to gather feedback and resolve issues for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in monitoring and testing of various compliance activities to establish insights and meaningful policy guidance.
  • Create and/or enhance compliance management process documentation (e.g., compliance procedures, compliance project planning templates).
  • Proactively review current practices, analyze and identify potential design and process improvements for the implementation of new compliance projects and processes.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of organizational processes, regulatory and technology requirements.
  • Review emerging industry/regulatory trends and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support policy and process recommendations based on OMERS strategy and stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
  • University degree or college program graduate.
  • Related work experience in compliance or a similar role.
  • At least 3-4 years of relevant management experience, including regulatory compliance and policy program management.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to plan strategically, monitor progress using effective controls and success criteria.
  • Highly organized, able to create and execute processes relevant to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working across multiple levels within the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written/ oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and identify areas requiring further research.
  • Initiative‑taker comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.
  • Experience with repetitive and administrative tasks performed with accuracy and efficiency.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, intermediate user of Excel and SharePoint.
  • Project management experience with Asana is an asset.

Work environment: to come into the office 4 days per week as part of OMERS’ flexible hybrid work guideline.

Salary Range: $72,000.00 – $ per year.
