Job OverviewResponsible for analyzing market, shopper, and internal sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities within the Bakery department. This role transforms insights into actionable strategies that drive category performance and supports cross-functional collaboration to ensure data‑driven decision‑making and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze syndicated (Nielsen, Circana) and internal POS data to uncover trends and growth opportunities. Develop clear, insight‑driven reports and presentations that enable fact‑based decisions, focusing on category performance, seasonality, assortment optimization, gap identification, innovation tracking, and promotional effectiveness. - Category Strategy Support:
Deliver actionable insights for category reviews and ad hoc requests. Monitor competitor performance and market share changes. Partner with Sales and Marketing to create tailored presentations that strengthen retailer and category strategies. - Work with the Category Insight Manager to define analytical approaches and answer key business questions. Utilize tools such as Excel and Power BI for category and market analysis. Act as liaison with internal teams and external partners regarding market and sales data.
- Trend Analysis:
Provide foresight into consumer trends and predict market developments. Summarize industry articles and white papers and maintain a digital report library to ensure easy access to insights.
- Completion of university degree in business and/or marketing, or another related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in market research or in a field that requires analysis of information
- Experience working with a CPG, or Food & Beverage Manufacturing is preferred
- Naturally curious, highly analytical, and adept at transforming data into meaningful insights. Brings a marketing and sales‑oriented perspective to category management and excels at storytelling—connecting data to compelling narratives that highlight key drivers and actionable recommendations.
