Our Product Management & Risk Technology Internship within Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise risk management solutions used across Manulife's global organization. Working alongside Product Owners, business stakeholders, technology teams, and end users, you will contribute to the planning, development, testing, and continuous improvement of risk technology solutions on the Archer platform.

. You will gain exposure to the full product lifecycle while supporting initiatives that help enhance risk programs, improve user experiences, and drive operational efficiencies across the organization.

• Support Product Owners in managing and maintaining product backlogs across multiple initiatives.
• Assist with the documentation and refinement of business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct research and analysis to support product strategy, roadmap planning, and solution enhancements.
• Participate in agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Develop process maps, business documentation, presentations, and training materials.
• Support user research activities, surveys, feedback collection, and solution validation exercises.
• Analyze user feedback and recommend enhancements to improve product functionality and user experience.
• Assist with stakeholder communications, release notes, training materials, and end-user engagement activities.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test execution, and results tracking.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate system functionality and business requirements.
• Monitor defects, enhancement requests, delivery milestones, and implementation activities.
• Analyze product metrics, operational data, and user adoption trends to generate actionable insights.
• Create dashboards, reports, and presentation materials to support business and leadership decision-making.

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest in Product Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Technology, Risk Management, or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, or other project delivery frameworks.
• Experience with data collection, preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI, dashboard development, data visualization, or related reporting tools.
• Knowledge of risk management, governance, compliance, operational resilience, business continuity, or internal controls is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of information.
