This full-time trainee position supports shop management, customer satisfaction, maintenance coordination, and operational metrics. The work spans Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, Rental, and Maintenance, requiring effective communication and prioritization. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee preventive maintenance scheduling and follow-up
Track breakdowns and maintain accurate vehicle status updates
Plan technician work for efficiency, training, and flexibility
Monitor maintenance overhead and running costs
Support rental coordination and fleet utilization
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Strong mechanical skills and detail-oriented follow-up practices
Excellent time management and work prioritization abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to maintain professional organizational relationships
Bring mechanical knowledge, maintenance coordination, and operational discipline to Ryder's fleet-focused trainee program in Etobicoke.
