The Construction Surveyor is responsible to provide construction surveying services to establish reference points and lines that will guide the construction of the project.
How will you contribute to the team?To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Establish and maintain the vertical and horizontal surveying controls for projects.
- Stake out points, lines and levels to guide the construction process.
- Produce and confirm topographical surveys.
- Collect and report survey data on the slab flatness.
- Manage all aspects of survey projects including planning, client communication, price estimates, cost-tracking, resource planning and invoicing.
- Perform and review survey calculations.
- Create and maintain the CAD file with the Survey Control Plan for each project.
- Ensure quality control measures are applied and documented.
- Review project deliverables prior to client release.
- Responsible for the weekly maintenance and ongoing care of all the survey equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the team on project status.
- Ontario Land Surveyor License is an asset
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Construction Surveyor
- Highly proficient in cadastral and engineering surveying methodologies
- Experience in monitoring survey work and topographical surveys
- Excellent communication skills
- Site-based position. When on site, personal protective equipment (i.e. hard hat, safety boots) required at all times.
- Travel between projects on a required basis.
