About the ProjectThe Connect 6ix project is a consortium‑led contract responsible for delivering the Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) package for the Ontario Line—a new 15.6 km rapid transit subway running across Toronto. This includes the trains, signaling, communications systems, and the operations and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate and maintain the line for 30 years.
About the JobWe are hiring a Quality Coordinator—Tracks to step into a new role for our team on the RSSOM project. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager.
What You Will Be Doing?The Quality Track Coordinator will assist in the coordination, monitoring, and quality oversight of track construction activities. This role supports daily construction progress, ensures compliance with project specifications and standards, and maintains complete quality documentation. Assist in the coordination and oversight of track installation, including ballast, ties, rail, and related components.
- Monitor construction progress and support scheduling and sequencing of track work packages.
- Ensure construction work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (AREMA, TTC, Metrolinx, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as Inspection and test plan, submittals, inspection records, material tracking logs, daily reports, and meeting minutes.
- Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) by maintaining inspection test records and assisting with NCRs, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams (civil, systems, structures) and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and track quality requirements.
- Assist with inspection and tracking of materials to ensure that the material delivered complies with project specifications.
- Contribute to site safety by supporting toolbox talks, inspections, and compliance with safety procedures.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in construction in rail/transit or heavy civil infrastructure.
- Knowledge of track construction methods and transit construction standards is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of track construction methods, transit standards, and QA/QC processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software (Primavera P6, Procore) is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on‑site as required.
Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $70,000-$110,000. The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependent on the specific project to which you are assigned.
