Harbinger Network is working with a rapidly growing Building Restoration General Contractor who is looking to hire a Project Manager located near the Toronto Pearson Airport. The Project Manager will manage and coordinate projects involving building restoration and full building envelope restoration for large to medium construction projects. You will be working with construction crews, architects, engineers, consultants, property managers, builders, developers, and building owners.
The successful candidate will be proactive, intuitive, analytical, detail-oriented, creative, possess a strong technical aptitude, have exceptional people skills, and be able to solve problems to keep projects on track. There is an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement within the company. You will join a tenure team to add your knowledge and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES :
Set-up projects and project filesKeep projects on track by setting up project tasks and monitoring their executionConsult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your teamCoordinate quotations based on estimates produced by salespeoplePlacing orders with suppliersMeet and communicate with architects, builders, and developers to coordinate and support projects to their successful completionCoordinate, oversee, and manage the installation process and construction crewsCreate and enforce employee schedules and construction timelinesManage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codesDocument all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budgetUpdate clients on construction progress through presentations and client meetingsGenerate periodic project status reports on a weekly basisSupport the office admin to generate and process progress drawsOther duties as requestedCOMPENTENCIES :
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and ability to read construction building plansPossess excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, time management, and communication skillsAbility to motivate a construction crewProactive and have a positive mindsetPossess a strong technical aptitude and attention to detailCan adapt well to shifting priorities and schedulesBe effective in working independentlyHave good problem-solving skills and goal-orientedHave a professional appearance and demeanourGood technical skills with experience using Microsoft Office such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Email, and general computers skills is requiredAt least 5 years of construction management experience, a minimum of 3 years in Ontario preferably or within CanadaKnowledge of Building Envelope within divisions 1, 3, 4 or 7, Structural Concrete, and Concrete Restoration experience is an assetBENEFITS :
