Position: Co-op Estimator Role at Aecon
Become a Co-op Estimator with Aecon Utilities, focusing on cost estimates and project budgets. You'll analyze documents, support RFPs, and develop pricing for diverse projects in energy and utilities.

In this 12-month term position, you'll report to the Lead Estimator or Estimating Manager.

Your role will involve analyzing project proposals and preparing accurate estimates across electric, telecommunications, and pipeline sectors. You'll also assist in quantity take-offs from construction drawings and engage with suppliers to obtain necessary pricing data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze specifications and proposals for pricing preparation

• Assist with RFPs and contract submissions

• Support quantity take-offs from construction drawings

• Research and gather pricing from suppliers/subcontractors

• Create comprehensive bid estimates for various project needs

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Civil, Construction, or Electrical program

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and contracts

• Knowledge of job cost fundamentals

• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software

• Strong written and oral communication capabilities
