This full-time, on-site Site Foreman role is based in Toronto, ON. The Site Foreman will oversee daily field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification on excavation and grading projects. Responsibilities include planning daily activities, assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and providing direction to operators and laborers. The role involves inspecting work areas, reviewing plans and drawings, coordinating equipment and material deliveries, and liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors.

The Site Foreman will also be responsible for enforcing health and safety standards, conducting site checks, addressing issues as they arise, and maintaining accurate daily records of work performed.

• Strong supervisory skills with proven experience leading site crews and coordinating daily construction activities.
• Hands‑on experience working around heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, graders) and understanding of safe operating practices.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with workers, management, subcontractors, and inspectors.
• Basic carpentry skills for tasks such as forming, minor structures, and layout support as required.
• Ability to oversee routine maintenance checks on equipment and support site upkeep and organization.
• Previous experience as a foreman or lead hand in excavation, civil construction, or related fields.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, grades, and site layout.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the Toronto and Greater Ontario area as needed.
• Relevant trade certification or technical training in construction or civil works is an asset.
