Position: Estimator for Utility Infrastructure Projects
Join Aecon as an Estimator focusing on utility infrastructure projects. Leverage your estimating experience to ensure accurate project costing and drive success through collaboration.

The Estimator reports to the Estimating Manager and will generate timely cost estimates for assigned utility construction projects. You will analyze specifications, communicate with clients, and gather pricing information from subcontractors to formulate complete estimates. In this pivotal role, your efforts will directly contribute to project financial performance and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze documents and drawings for accurate pricing

• Conduct quantity take-offs from design and construction drawings

• Coordinate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers

• Prepare cost models for tender submissions

• Conduct bid closings and distribute award documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience in electrical/hydro

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or equivalent

• Strong Microsoft Excel and estimating software skills

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities

• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications
