Position: Cost Estimator with MGI
Take on the Cost Estimator role at MGI, where you’ll analyze construction costs and prepare detailed reports to support project accuracy. Ensure our projects meet both budget and quality standards.

This position focuses on evaluating costs related to new construction projects. As an estimator, you'll prepare comprehensive estimates for necessary materials and labor, evaluate vendor bids, and track project costs effectively. Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and maintain communication with all parties involved in the projects, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze probable costs for materials and labor

• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors

• Establish effective cost tracking systems

• Collect and resolve cost discrepancies with data analysis

• Facilitate communication with engineers and contractors

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Certificate, Degree, or Diploma required

• Strong analytical skills for cost evaluation

• Prior experience in project estimation

• Proven negotiation and communication abilities

• Familiarity with construction project standards
