Polaron Energy Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Project Coordinator (PTO) to manage commercial Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects through the construction, commissioning, and Permission-to-Operate (PTO) phase. This role focuses on coordinating procurement, installation scheduling, subcontractors, inspections, commissioning activities, and utility approvals to ensure projects are successfully energized and transitioned to operation.
Key Responsibilities Construction Coordination- Manage projects from RTI handoff through commissioning and PTO.
- Coordinate installation schedules with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and key milestones; proactively elevate risks.
- Support issue resolution and change management during active construction.
- Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery schedules aligned with installation timelines.
- Track material availability, shipment status, and warehouse coordination.
- Confirm required equipment and materials are on-site before construction activities commence.
- Work closely with electrical contractors, installers, and commissioning engineers.
- Schedule construction activities, site access, and crew dispatching.
- Coordinate change orders, RFIs, and field‑related project updates.
- Schedule electrical inspections and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) reviews.
- Coordinate utility witness testing and final approval requirements with LDCs.
- Track inspection deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented.
- Coordinate system commissioning activities with technical and contractor teams.
- Track commissioning documentation, test reports, and closeout requirements.
- Obtain final utility Permission to Operate (PTO) and ensure all approval documentation is filed.
- Ensure all project records are completed, organized, and archived upon closeout.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout construction and commissioning.
- Provide regular project updates, milestone notifications, and schedule communications.
- Coordinate customer approvals and site access requirements in a timely manner.
- Complete project closeout documentation and ensure accuracy before handoff.
- Transfer monitoring setup, warranty documentation, and operational information to the Asset Management Team.
- Support customer onboarding to monitoring platforms and post‑commissioning tools.

- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction coordination, or project management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with contractors and managing project schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Experience in Solar PV, BESS, EV Charging, electrical construction, utilities, or renewable energy.
- Familiarity with ESA processes, Ontario Hydro utilities, commissioning, and construction workflows.
- Experience using project management software (e.g., Zoho Projects, Click Up, , or similar).
Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 CAD annually
