HDR Rail Inspector, Civil Construction

Become a part of HDR's Field Services team as a Civil Construction Inspector focused on rail. This temporary position values solid construction inspection experiences on Class 1 railway projects.

In this flexible role, you will oversee and inspect rail construction to uphold rigorous safety and quality standards. You will diligently document all activities, including daily inspections and compliance checks. Your mentorship and leadership will guide junior staff and assist in achieving project excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections on Class 1 railway projects

• Maintain photographic records and daily logs

• Execute site surveys to track material quantities

• Ensure projects comply with all regulations

• Report on-site activities and suggest improvements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering/construction

• Previous work with CN Rail or CPKC Rail preferred

• Strong understanding of construction design plans

• Emergency First Aid & CPR Certification necessary

• Valid license with excellent driving history
