Construction Safety Specialist North York

Lead the charge for safety at COREAQUA as a Construction Safety Specialist in North York. Conduct hazard assessments and implement effective safety measures across projects.

In this role, you will leverage your 3-5 years of construction safety experience to collaborate with field teams, ensuring compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. You’ll lead incident investigations, support the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and provide training to cultivate a strong safety culture within COREAQUA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify hazards and devise mitigation strategies

• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance on sites

• Lead investigations on safety incidents and implement solutions

• Engage with Joint Health and Safety Committee to enhance safety

• Provide safety training and field coaching for employees

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in construction safety roles

• Proficient knowledge of Ontario OHSA and regulations

• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration

• Experience with field teams and subcontractors
