Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity:

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with senior executives both in‑house and externally on many large‑scale multi‑million, and even billion‑dollar, projects.

Representing your client's best interest, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all stakeholders are delivering on contractual agreements.
• Overseeing all cost management activities representing clients' best interests in terms of estimates, expenditures, etc.
• Pre, during and post construction costing/estimates.
• Participating in value management and value engineering techniques.
• Managing the entire life cycle costing processes.
• Liaising with clients and all stakeholders throughout all stages of the project.
• Bringing any discrepancies to the attention of the client, outlining risks and making recommendations.
• Attending stakeholder meetings.
• Compiling regular reports for clients.

• 8+ years of experience in cost estimating/consulting, including delivering pre‑construction and post‑contract construction cost services.
• Experience working directly for a consultancy, representing stakeholders' best interests.
• Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) or working towards obtaining the PQS designation.
• Membership in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or any other relevant professional organization.
• Experience with large‑scale multi‑million dollar projects, including civil works, railways, subway systems, metro systems, etc.

Completion of a university degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
