Your OpportunityBDO Canada LLP is looking for a Consultant to expand its Construction Advisory & Dispute Services practice and own the following responsibilities:
- Assisting in carrying out forensic delay & quantum analysis for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects involving complex disputes
- Planning & project controls including progress, cost & loan monitoring
- Reviewing project-associated costs including labour, material, and equipment
- Undertaking design documents review on varied project types like roads, LRTs, power plants, and residential/commercial buildings and estimating quantities
- Working closely with Senior Analysts and Experts in assisting with precise delay & cost claims/expert reports
- Providing thorough and accurate data extraction using planning software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project
- Researching and understanding document control and information sources on the projects
- Assisting senior professionals with business development proposals for existing/new clients
- Developing knowledge in the field by attending relevant industry seminars
- You hold a degree in a construction‑related field (Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering)
- A post‑graduate degree in construction management would be an asset
- Minimum 0‑2 years of professional experience in the construction industry
- Understanding of construction processes, terminologies and methodologies
- Understanding of project costs
- Financial and numeracy management skills
- Strong problem‑solving, and communication skills
- High proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Willingness to travel
