Position: Co-op Student Estimator for Civil Projects
Kickstart your career as a Student Estimator with Aecon's Civil East team in an 8-month co-op position. Focus on proposal development, design-build, and estimating for impactful infrastructure projects.

As a Student Estimator, you'll work closely with Senior and Chief Estimators, gaining mentorship and hands-on experience in bid preparation and project execution. This role includes supporting diverse projects like bridges, airports, and hydro-power dams while utilizing estimating software. Your analytical skills will play a vital role in assisting design teams and preparing estimates using Hard Dollar Estimating and Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing project proposals and estimates

• Utilize estimating software for accurate project planning

• Compare subcontractor and vendor quotes

• Support design teams during project execution

• Prepare handover documents for site teams

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Primavera P6 advantageous

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
