EHS Advisor for Aecon

Elevate safety standards with Aecon as an EHS Advisor in Toronto, ON. Facilitate training, conduct inspections, and promote a culture of health and safety across diverse projects.

In this role, you'll act as the first line of defense for health, safety, and environmental adherence within Aecon's projects. Reporting to the EHS Director, the EHS Advisor focuses on training staff in various safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and coordinating key workplace plans. You will contribute to a safe working environment while developing your career in a well-respected company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate health and safety orientation for employees

• Train staff on safety manuals and emergency responses

• Conduct workplace inspections and behavioral observations

• Develop emergency evacuation and traffic control plans

• Promote safety systems to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

• At least 3 years in Health and Safety within construction

• Strong knowledge of Ontario's occupational safety regulations

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

• Valid driver's license and flexibility for site work

• Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision
