Estimator Role in Construction Industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Review proposals and drawings to determine work scope

• Incorporate historical data into unit and person-hour estimates

• Provide risk analysis to lead estimator on bids

• Calculate material quantities from engineering drawings

• Advise on client addenda changes during estimates
Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of estimating or cost control experience

• Knowledge of alternative construction methods

• Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid Software

• Strong technical writing skills
