We are hiring a Superintendent (Night & Weekend Works) to join our Construction team.

Expected Compensation

The exact salary you will earn is dependent on the specific project to which you are assigned. Currently, the salary range for projects you may be assigned to in the position of Superintendent is 100-150 K.

What You Will Be Doing?
  • Lead and supervise night and weekend construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and requirements.
  • Promote and enforce project safety standards, conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and construction resources to support planned work activities.
  • Coordinate all required inspections and ensure construction activities comply with project quality requirements, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintain daily coordination with peer superintendents to manage shared OMSF yard logistics, optimize equipment routing, and support concurrent trackwork, civil, utility, and facility construction activities.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and subcontractor performance, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain project schedules and budget targets.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, constructability concerns, and operational conflicts to minimize disruptions and maintain progress.
  • Participate in look-ahead planning and scheduling activities to identify constraints and support upcoming work.
  • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet established QA/QC standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, documenting production, workforce utilization, equipment usage, site conditions, and key project metrics.
  • Provide comprehensive shift handovers and maintain effective communication between day, night, and weekend operations teams.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, operators, and project stakeholders, providing updates on construction progress and operational requirements.
What We Are Looking For ?
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related construction field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in heavy civil, infrastructure and/or ICI projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding local safety regulations and construction best practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems, regulatory compliance, and operational procedures.
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs, work instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability be self-sufficient and able to work independently.
