Ensure environmental integrity with ONxpress as an Environmental Compliance Inspector. This vital role involves conducting inspections and monitoring for large-scale construction projects.
As a key player in the ONxpress Civils team, you will be responsible for assessing the environmental impacts of construction activities and ensuring adherence to Environmental Management Plans. Your strong background in ecology and hands-on experience will aid in identifying non-compliance issues and implementing effective mitigation strategies. The role requires strong communication to foster a culture of environmental awareness among site personnel and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess construction impacts to soil, water, and air quality
• Monitor compliance with environmental protection measures
• Record deficiencies and support corrective actions
• Partner with teams for environmental training and awareness
• Drive environmental reporting and ongoing improvements
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in environmental discipline
• 3 years of related work experience
• Certification in Sediment and Erosion Control preferred
• Valid Class G driver's licence
• Experience with Ontario-based construction projects
