The successful candidate will report directly to the Package Manager, Structural. They will be responsible for, but are not limited to, the following activities:

Adhere to the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Guidelines
  • Complies with general safety guidelines (responsible driving, evacuation procedures, wearing PPE on-site, etc.)
  • Promotes a preventive approach, ensuring the health and safety of themselves and others, and raise alerts if necessary.
  • Implements procedures relevant to their activities and actively participate in continuous improvement.
  • Complies with environmental guidelines, adopts appropriate environmental behavior, and raises alerts if needed.
Structural Package Coordination and Execution
  • Coordinates site activities for civil and structural works, including rebar placement, formwork, concrete pours, and steel structure installation including joists and decks.
  • Confirms construction works are carried out in accordance with issued IFC/FD drawings, specifications, and approved method statements, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Tracks structural inspections and concrete testing to meet project milestones.
  • Maintains accurate as-built documentation and supports the preparation of handover documentation.
Site and Subcontractor Coordination
  • Assists in conducting daily management of subcontractors for structural works, ensuring correct installation sequencing and adherence to project schedule.
  • Coordinates closely with mechanical, electrical and architectural teams to ensure embedded services are installed before structural pours.
  • Facilitates weekly site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Proactively resolves field issues, conflicts, and constraints to maintain construction progress.
  • Coordinates and closes out site punch lists and deficiencies, aligned with the QA/QC team.
  • Acts as a liaison between site teams, subcontractors, and project leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance
  • Verifies and coordinates all structural elements, such as reinforcement, formwork, anchors and steel structure.
  • Conducts daily site inspections to ensure quality control, workmanship, and safety compliance.
  • Reviews and resolves site technical queries, ensuring timely responses to RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
Planning, Reporting and Logistics
  • Monitors and reports daily progress, assists in preparing look-ahead schedules, and tracks actual vs. planned progress.
  • Facilitates material tracking and ensures timely deliveries to site in line with construction needs.
Teamwork, Leadership and Communication
  • Cultivates a strong leadership presence, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, demonstrating solidarity and transparency in all situations.
  • Supports the Package Manager in coordination and reporting to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Encourages collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, promoting a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Guides junior team members and contributes to professional development initiatives.
  • Assists in decision-making and problem-solving to resolve complex challenges and maintain project flows.
The ideal profile

For this position, the ideal candidate should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in structural coordination within railway, infrastructure or building projects.
  • Solid knowledge of concrete and steel structures, embedded components, and construction sequencing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project software applications.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, driving daily site progress, and resolving field issues.
  • Structural trade qualification or site coordination/supervisory certification is an asset.
  • Familiarity working with construction/IFC drawings, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, model review, and other industry-specific tools.
  • Experience with document control systems and RFIs/submittal workflows.
